Abstract

Environmental education plays a pivotal role in fostering sustainable natural resource management because it educates people, increases awareness, and encourages responsible conduct in both communities and individuals. The first important factor is the spread of thorough knowledge regarding ecosystems, biodiversity, and the interconnectedness of different natural factors. People are able to comprehend the complex interrelationships between human activity and the environment through focused educational programs. This information forms the basis for well-informed decision-making, promoting actions that lessen environmental damage and advance the preservation of vital natural resources. Moreover, by fostering a sense of accountability and moral stewardship toward the environment, environmental education serves as a catalyst for behavioral change. Educational efforts seek to foster a culture that places conservation above exploitation by highlighting the long-term repercussions of unsustainable activities. In order to achieve sustainable natural resource management, attitudes and behaviors must be shaped via environmental education, which has this transforming power. Beyond raising people's awareness, environmental education also plays a crucial role in community involvement and policy formation. Educational activities help to create communities that are aware and ecologically sensitive by encouraging cooperation and conversation. Environmental education essentially serves as a catalyst for social change, impacting both individual and group behaviors to protect the environment for coming generations.
