Abstract
Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are those whose genetic material has been altered via genetic engineering such as molecular cloning, recombinant DNA technology, gene delivery in which the three Ts (transformation, transfection, and transduction) are used to introduce foreign DNA, and gene editing. Organisms (both plants and animals) have been genetically altered throughout history by selection by humans (in which desirable traits in some species are enhanced).
