Abstract
As stated in the preface, the primary aim of this book is to show various methods of fitting trajectory models to geodetic time series. Chapters 1 and 2 lay the foundations of this parametric approach. These trajectory models are relatively simple linear models involving low degree polynomials, a few periodic signals, offsets and in some cases exponential/logarithmic functions to model post-seismic transients. Nevertheless, they successfully characterize many types of geodetic observations—from GNSS networks, tide gauges, GRACE and other satellite missions.
