World Social Marketing Conference
2 Introduction
The World Social Marketing Conference is a biennial event that brings together social marketing experts to present case studies, share knowledge, and connect professionals creating social change around the world. The event highlights global issues such as addiction, climate change, and inequality. There is also a focus on the field itself and the industry, with tracks and panels that look critically at the nature of social marketing, as well as how social marketing should be used. The majority of conference content is made of submissions, which are evaluated by at least two members of the review team, made up of social marketing experts from around the world. The first WSMC grew out of an event funded by the UK government, which has grown into a series of events that happen around the world capturing and spreading good practice in social marketing.
