Abstract
We hope to include in each volume of the new annual series some detailed comments and surveys of various books and monographs that may be of interest to our readers. This section is intended to be more informative and factual rather than acidly critical, and its main aim is to be of some help to the reader in assessing the quite large literature that is currently published in the field. We hope to deal with multiauthor specialist texts, single-author textbooks, and also the many short monographs that are now quite popular.
