Abstract
Reference materials for use in calibrating either the temperature scale of equipment or a physical property measured by the equipment as a function of temperature are available worldwide. Reference materials are useful in develo** new test methods as well as ensuring the compatibility of measurements both within and among laboratories. The reference materials that are described in this chapter include those for thermal conductivity, electrical resistivity, heat capacity, and thermal expansion.
