Abstract
This chapter focuses on the modeling of optimization problems where objective and constraint functions are typically nonlinear. Several examples of practical optimization cases based on our own experience in teaching, research and consultancy are given in this chapter. The reader can practice by trying to formulate the exercise examples based on the cases at the end of the chapter.
