Abstract
The K-Shell ionization cross sections for Al, P, Ar, Ti, Cr, Fe, Ni, Ge, Se, Nb and Pd were measuered for incident 3He ions with energies 0.6-3.6 MeV. The present results were compared with the predictions of the ECPSSR theory of direct Coulomb ionization. Generally, the agreement between experiment and the ECPSSR theory is good, but some deviations observed for low reduced velocities are discussed in terms of Coulomb deflection correction used in this approach.
