Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new route optimization scheme (EDNS-MIPv6) for MIPv6 using the enhanced Domain Name System (DNS) together with local mobility management scheme to reduce the signaling delay. EDNS-MIPv6 alleviates the triangle routing problem and reduces both the signaling delay to the home network, and the home agent’s processing load.
