Abstract

This chapter introduces the main literature relevant for the field of reconfi-guration. During the last decade, different communities have dealt with this topic, and unfortunately a lot of incompatible terminology has been used. Several different definitions are used for the term “reconfiguration”, leading to approaches that cannot be reasonably compared to each other. This overview tries to mention all approaches that are relevant for control reconfiguration in the sense defined in the introduction.
