About the editors

Prof. Shadpour Mallakpour, an Organic-Polymer Chemist, graduated from the Chemistry Department, University of Florida, USA, in 1984 under the supervision of Prof. G. B. Butler. He joined the Department of Chemistry, Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Iran, in 1986. He has published more than 820 research papers, reviews, and book chapters, and more than 430 conference papers and got more than 32 items of awards. The most important award was given to him for the selection of the first laureate on fundamental research, at the 2nd Khwarizmi International Award in 2008. He is in the list of Top 1% Scientist in Chemistry in ISI Essential Science Indicators since 2003. He was selected as an academic guest of the 59th Meeting of Nobel Prize Winners in Chemistry in Lindau, Germany, in 2009. He has presented several lectures as invited or keynote lecturer in various national and international conferences and universities. He was a member of organizing and scientific committees for many national and international conferences. In recent years he focused on the preparation and characterization of green, biocompatible, cost-effective, and bioactive polymer nanocomposites for the applications in the water remediation, food packaging, antibacterial uses, bone tissue engineering, and catalytic activities.

Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain, Ph.D. is an Adjunct Professor, Academic Advisor and Director of Chemistry & EVSc Labs at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey, USA. His research is focused on the Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials, Analytical Chemistry, Sustainability, Environmental Management and Various Industries. Dr. Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as author and editor of several scientific monographs and handbooks in his research areas.
