Compaction of Elastoplastic Iron Batch in Pressing

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The packing of spherical particles and the granular characteristics of powder batch containing both plastic iron and elastic cast iron are investigated. The inertial sha** of iron parts is analyzed. It is difficult to ensure that the density of the elastoplastic batch varies in proportion to the pressure applied, since compaction of the powder occurs by different mechanisms at different stages of pressing.
