Abstract

Today, Using foliar spraying of various silicone formulations to stimulate plants’ immune systems has been considered. However, some strategic plants, such as tomatoes, have limited silicon uptake, and it is crucial to provide an optimal concentration formula for them to use. This study used a SAAT formulation with concentrations of 0, 25, 50, and 100 ppm SiO2 as a foliar application. The results showed that at 50 ppm, SOD, POD, and CAT enzymes activity significantly alter. Although total protein content explicitly did not change. Our research result can be concluded that, although the absorption of silicon in tomatoes is limited, while foliar application of silicon alters antioxidant enzymes’ activity in tomatoes. The foliar Si in the specific formulation and 50 ppm can help reduce the severity of stress damage in tomatoes.
