A Sub-Terahertz Polarization Converter Based on a Silicon Lattice Structure

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

The authors present a single-layer polarizer that converts linear polarization into circular. The polarization converter consists of a lattice structure made of silicon. The polarizer is developed and optimized for the millimeter wave range, specifically for a spectral “transmission window” at a wavelength of 2 mm. Results show that the measured values agree with modeling results.
