Abstract

The processes of solid-phase interaction between calcium and rare-earth fluorides and ammonium sulfate have been studied. Based on thermogravimetric and X-ray diffraction data, the stages and intermediate products of these processes have been identified. It has been established that the heating of ammonium sulfate in a mixture with calcium and rare-earth fluorides to 400°C leads to the conversion of the latter into sulfates.
