Abstract

The results of choosing the solution composition for the chemical removal of diffusion coatings during the repair of gas turbine engine blades are presented. The optimum solution composition with the least influence on the structure of the blade material is determined by mathematical design of experiment. The parameters (temperature, time) of removing a protective coating have been established in order to minimize the effect on the blade alloy.
