Extended Data Fig. 10

UV-Vis measurements monitoring the formation of MRH by alternation of green light at 4.31 mW∙cm−2 and darkness. In each cycle, the samples were irradiated for 10 min and the absorbance at λ = 530 nm was probed for 15 min in darkness (n = 3, technical replicates, mean ± SD). Reactions were conducted in the presence of ammonium acetate at initial concentrations of a. 0, b. 10, c. −1mM. Absorbance values were converted to their corresponding pH values and were plotted in d., e., and f., respectively. The data represented in panels A and D was repeated from panels B and F from Extended Data Figure 9 for illustration purposes.
