Transient response to various eye movements recorded with a. contralateral and b. ipsilateral referencing. Transient eye movements performed by the participants included ‘glancing up’, ‘glancing down’, ‘glancing left’, ‘glancing right’, ‘heavy blinking’ and ‘blinking’, each returning to centered gaze before the next eye movement. c. Time-averaged transient response for each eye movement. The mean and standard deviation are shown in solid lines and shaded bands for all participant-averaged data.
