Abstract
Combining multiple evaluation methods and indexes from a number of international standards, this study conducts a multi-index and all-around evaluation analysis for building vibration serviceability induced by the subway based on field measurement of a three-story residential house attached to the subway line in Ningbo. The study aims to analyze the vibration response characteristics of the ground and the indoor building induced by the subway and investigate the influence of subway-induced vibration on residential vibration serviceability. It is observed that the vertical vibration acceleration of the entire building structure increases with floor height. The vibration energy is concentrated between 50 and 100 Hz, with a peak value near 80 Hz. The vibration evaluation, conducted through basic and additional methods, as well as the annoyance rate model, produces significantly lower values than the limit specified in current literature and standards. This is mainly attributed to the small magnitude of the weighted root-mean-square acceleration, which other indexes are calculated based on. By comprehensively and thoroughly analyzing the indoor vibration characteristics of buildings, this study provides valuable insights for the research on subway-induced vibration on the environment.
