Abstract

Chinese dictionary publishing has a long history, and the innovation of publishing technology in the age of digital intelligence has enabled the activation of historical dictionaries. The current situation of the digitization and intelligentization of Chinese historical dictionaries can be summarized as rich in content, diverse in form and multiple in subject, which embodies the characteristics of nonlinear, interactive and collectivity. The activation of historical dictionaries has important cultural significance, which is manifested in inheriting excellent Chinese language and culture, opening up new frontiers in the field of lexicography research, and enhancing the function of language education, which greatly improves the communication efficiency of lexicography culture. Dictionary publishing supervision departments, dictionary society groups, dictionary publishing subjects and dictionary users need to deeply integrate and seek common development. To transform a historical dictionary publishing country into a well-deserved digital dictionary publishing power requires multiple efforts to implement effective governance measures, jointly prosper the dictionary publishing culture, and help the construction of a publishing power and a cultural power.
