De wereldgeschiedenis zit vol metselffulfilling prophecy’s: zichzelf waarmakende voorspellingen. Dat gaat vooral voor negatieve beslissingen op. Wat mensen als waarheid en werkelijkheid definiëren, kan werkelijke gevolgen hebben. Dat geldt ook voor situaties in de gezondheidszorg.
