Plasma-Powder Surfacing of Alloys Based on Nickel and Cobalt on Copper

  • Published:
Materials Science Aims and scope

The results of investigation of the formation of surfaced metal and its joints with basic metal under plasma surfacing on copper with powders based on nickel or cobalt are presented. The nickel-based PG-SR4 powder provides the best results regarding welding and technological properties. When using PN-AN34 powder individual defects are found in the surfaced metal in the form of interlayers and individual inclusions of copper in the surfaced layer of cobalt-based metal.
