Om ervoor te zorgen dat universitair medische centra in de toekomst mee kunnen doen met de marktwerking en de topreferente zorg kunnen blijven bieden, gaat minister Hoogervorst een nieuw financieringsstelsel invoeren. Dit staat in de nota Publieke functies van de UMC’s in een marktomgeving.
