A new method for designing circular waveguide phaser with small ellipticity

  • Published:
Journal of Electronics (China)

Abstract

A method for calculating the phase shift of a dielectrically loaded circular waveguide with small ellipticity is described. It gives an excellent result for enqineering purposes, although it is not rigorous in theory. The maximum difference between the calculated and measured results for a 90° phase shift is only 1.4o in 500MHz bandwidth at 4GHz.
