Abstract
Mildronate, 3-(2,2,2-trimethyl hydrasinium) propionate dehydrate, a drug producing antihypoxic and selective vasodilating (in vascular spasm) effects, improves the status of rabbit fetuses with chronic intrauterine hypoxia induced by experimental placental insufficiency. The drug has an unfavorable effect on fetuses develo** under conditions of normal uteroplacental circulation. The results are based on physiological and biochemical investigations of fetuses and placentas.
