Conclusions
-
1.
During investigation of the behavior of albino rats by the OF method the use of Stressor factors leads to a decrease in motor and vertical activity, and also to an increase in the number of defecations; extinction of motor activity in this case takes place gradually, during the animals' stay in OF.
-
2.
The character of distribution of motor and vertical activity among the animals studied was close to normal, whereas distributions of the number of groomings and defecations differed significantly from normal.
-
3.
The number of defecations in rats in OF does not correlate with their motor activity, but it correlates significantly with the vertical activity and weight of the animals; in turn, the motor activity of rats correlates negatively with their weight.
-
4.
When rats are placed in OF a second time extinction of the orienting reaction is more clearly observed if the test is carried out in the absence of Stressors.
