Abstract
Thymolipoma is a rare tumor composed of both adipose and mature thymic elements which may grow to very large sizes before becoming symptomatic. Since thymolipomas are benign tumors and do not invade adjacent structures, a plane of dissection can readily be developed during surgical resection. We report a large tumor involving both thoracic cavities which was successfully excised from a left thoracotomy incision with preservation of adjacent nerves and blood vessels.
