Abstract

Motivation greatly impacts sporting activities. The paper examines the impact of effective communication skills within the team on the development of athletes’ motivation when it comes to their professional development, as well as motivation’s impact on the development of sports skills. The study was conducted among 150 track and field students from **hua University, Physical Education Institute. A quasi-experimental design was proposed to implement the experimental intervention, in which the experimental group learned effective communication and conflict resolution skills prior to athletic training. Student motivation variables in the experimental group are notably better. The experimental group showed better academic performance in track and field skills. There was a very significant difference in sports walking (5.98), springboarding (21.66), and ball throwing (20.97) skills, with the significance level reaching p < 0.01. The findings are consistent with previous research, and they also offer practical and theoretical opportunities for future and demonstrate effectiveness of effective communication skills in physical activity for athletes’ motivation.
