Abstract
The transformation of resource-based cities is a hot issue concerned by all countries in the world. Some researchers have explored some transformation methods of resource-based cities by analyzing different cities, but there is still a lack of common conclusions on the transformation of resource-based cities, and also a lack of discussion on the best time for the transformation of resource-based cities. Therefore, this paper makes an analysis of Fuxin from environment, social and economic. Starting from the three perspectives of environment, the data before and after the transformation are compared and the transformation mode is analyzed. The commonness of the transformation of resource-based cities is explored, and the better transformation of resource-based cities is analyzed. Through research, the transformation of resource-based cities mainly focuses on the following aspects: single industry, environmental pollution, resource depletion, economic recession, and social problems. Moreover, the transformation of resource-based cities is often carried out after the economic recession, resulting in a long transformation cycle and low transformation power, as well as some irreversible social, economic, and environmental damage. Therefore, resource-based cities should start to transform at the peak of the industry.
