Design of Special Fixture for Welding Assembly of Steel Joints

Abstract

Aiming at the problem that the quality of steel joints is not easy to control and the assembly often occurs dislocation, this paper first analyse the characteristics and processing technology of welded steel joints, establishes the assembly benchmark of joints, optimizes the assembly sequence, and provides theoretical basis for subsequent fixture positioning. Then according to the structure and assembly characteristics of welded steel joints, the positioning reference and positioning method of fixture are selected. Combined with the design requirements of fixture, the overall design scheme of special fixture for steel joint manufacturing is proposed. Design a set of special fixtures for welding assembly steel joint. Finally, in order to verify the feasibility of the fixture mechanism design, a virtual prototype was built for kinematic simulation. The results show that the motion range of the fixture positioning mechanism and the selection of the driving motor meet the requirements.
