Abstract

Since the 18th Communist Party of China National Congress, China has stepped into a new era, and China has also started a new historic movement on the way to strengthen and innovate social governance. At the same time, China is still facing a series of severe challenges and risks in this field. This chapter is a contribution to bring together 8 outstanding experts to reflect on developments to date in social policy, theory and practice, and consider what will be needed during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and the next 15 years.
