Abstract
C. V. L. Charlier (1862–1934) a fait ses études à Uppsala, où il a suivi l’enseignement d’Herman Schultz, et reçu son doctorat en 1887. Il a obtenu un poste d’astronome assistant à l’Observatoire de Stockholm en 1888, puis il est revenu à Uppsala en tant que professeur assistant à l’Observatoire. En 1897, Charlier a obtenu un poste de professeur d’astronomie à l’Université de Lund, où il a fait toute sa carrière.
