Abstract
This chapter examines the market and system integration of e-mobility and presents current applications as well as future approaches for system optimization and smart grid solutions. In this context, the design of a cost-effective, sustainable and reliable energy supply including mobility appears as the fundamental objective. The requirements of regulatory, technical and economic framework conditions for the provision of system services are analyzed and the flexibilities for charging and discharging processes identified and evaluated. Passive and active charging management systems are introduced and discussed based on real-world implementations. Further applications and methods for market and system integration of e-mobility are investigated by computer-aided simulation. The cross-sectoral approach is specified using mathematical formulations and methods for determining potential system services and is evaluated in case studies. In summary, this chapter outlines practicable and scientific solutions. It identifies recommendations for further actions and gives insights into the knowledge gained for the design of a future renewable energy supply.
