Zusammenfassung
Die transformative Wirkung der digitalen und vernetzten Technologien beeinflusst alle Unternehmen und Branchen, wenn auch mit unterschiedlicher Intensität, Dauer und Einflussnahme. Das Personalmanagement von Unternehmen nimmt im Kampf um die besten Talente im digitalen Zeitalter, bei der Gestaltung neuer Kompetenzprofile und Arbeitsmodelle sowie bei der aktiven Begleitung des notwendigen kulturellen Wandels zukünftig eine Schlüsselposition ein. Dieser Beitrag beginnt mit der Skizzierung grundlegender Paradigmen wie der Agilität und Kundenzentrierung, die unser digitales Zeitalter prägen, und definiert auf der Basis einer kausalen Diskussion von Technologie und gesellschaftlicher Entwicklung die beiden zentralen Begriffe Digitalisierung und digitale Transformation, indem auch zentrale Technologietrends thematisiert werden. Hierbei wird insbesondere ihre Wirkung auf die Gestaltung von Geschäftsmodellen, Produkten und Dienstleistungen aufgezeigt. Im Mittelpunkt der weiteren Auseinandersetzung steht die differenzierte Diskussion der Implikationen für Unternehmen aufgrund der allgegenwärtigen und umfassenden Durchdringung der Unternehmen mit den digitalen und vernetzten Technologien. Hier werden z. B. Themenbereiche wie Lernen und Arbeiten im digitalen Zeitalter berührt oder zukünftige Führungsaufgaben. Mit der Idee eines digitalen Personalmanagements schließt dieser Beitrag.
