Zusammenfassung
Zu den Glykopeptidantibiotika gehören Vancomycin und Teicoplanin, die bakterizid gegen fast alle aerob und einige anaerob wachsende grampositive Bakterien, nicht aber gegen gramnegative Bakterien wirken. Als Reserveantibiotika können sie intravenös appliziert zur Behandlung schwerer Infektionen durch oxacillinresistente Staphylokokken und ampicillinresistente Enterokokken sowie oral verabreicht bei Enterokolitis durch toxinbildende C. difficile-Stämme eingesetzt werden.
