Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag greift das Konzept der Service Profit Chain auf, das seit seiner Entwicklung sowohl die Forschung als auch die Praxis des Dienstleistungsmarketing und -managements inspiriert. Zunächst wird verdeutlicht, wie die Service Profit Chain durch die Verknüpfung von externem und internem Marketing geholfen hat, Dienstleistungsmarketing weiterzudenken. Anschließend werden alternative Erklärungsmechanismen aufgegriffen, die ein Weiterdenken der Service Profit Chain selbst erlauben, weil sie über die in der Service Profit Chain verwendete Zufriedenheitslogik hinausgehen. Der Beitrag schließt mit einer Diskussion wichtiger Impulse der Service Profit Chain für das Dienstleistungsmarketing sowie für das Marketing im Sinne der marktorientierten Unternehmensführung im Allgemeinen.
