Zusammenfassung

Als Ejakulation bezeichnet man den Vorgang der Ausstoßung der Sekrete von Prostata, Cowper- und Littre-Drüsen sowie der Samenleiter und Samenblasen zusammen mit den dort gespeicherten Spermien in die hintere Harnröhre und von dort durch die Urethra nach außen. Die Ejakulation ist Voraussetzung für die normale männliche Fertilität. Ejakulation und Orgasmus treten in der Regel zusammen und zeitgleich auf, trotzdem handelt es sich um unterschiedliche kortikale und emotionale Ereignisse; beide können auch entkoppelt voneinander auftreten. Störungen der Ejakulationsfunktion sind nicht selten. Fast die Hälfte von über 12.000 befragten Männern im Alter von 50–80 Jahren gaben an, in den letzten 4 Wochen eine Ejakulationsstörung erlebt zu haben. Die häufigste Störung ist die zu rasche Ejakulation.
