Abstract
Ovarian teratomas are common germ cell neoplasms comprised of mature or immature tissues of germ cell origin. The most common histologic type is the mature cystic teratoma, also known as a dermoid cyst. They have several suggestive MR features and FDG PET is useful in detecting metastases or peritoneal dissemination. PET/MR imaging helps distinguish benign from malignant pelvic lesions.
