Abstract

Reconstruction of kinematics and dynamics parameters that characterize vehicle-pedestrian collision represents a matter of great interest, which preoccupies more and more specialists from automotive and related industries.

The paper refers to the analytical methods, including the ones with numerical solving that allow computer-based reconstitution of the vehicle-pedestrian impact, being used specialized software PC-Crash.

It presents a comparative analysis of kinematics and dynamics parameters that characterize car-to-pedestrian collisions caught on camera (filmed in real time) and simulate using computerized collision reconstruction program PC-Crash, that is the most commonly simulation software used in Europe.

The aim of this paper is to evaluate and compare analytical methods that allow the reconstruction of real accidents involving pedestrians.
