Abstract

The influence of components on optical and photovoltaic properties of polymer nanocomposite films made of polymethine dyes at high concentrations is analyzed. We used polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyphenylenevinylene (PPV), polyvinyl carbazole (PVC), and its derivatives as matrices, as well as Indocyanine Green (IG), Meso-Cl, Hexaindoletricarbocyanine (HITC) as dyes. We have determined that Н-aggregates of the dyes with different energies are formed in the films of polymer composites with polymethine dyes. The energy maxima for Н-aggregates weakly depend on the molecular structure of the matrix, whereas their photosensitivity maxima mainly depend on the molecular structure of the dyes.
