Abstract
This chapter outlines the overall purpose of this book along with the framework of proceeding chapters. As such, how each subsequent chapter is structurally presented to aid in the understanding of transgender victimology throughout various global criminal processing systems is explored. Further, the conceptual lens in which these concerns are examined throughout the book is explored while underlining how transgender victimology studies have a unique place within queer criminology.
