Abstract
One of the most important later medieval thinkers, the Franciscan theologian and philosopher William of Ockham (c. 1285–c. 1349) was also the main political theorist in fourteenth-century England. His main political works are: Opus nonaginta dierum (c. 1333), Dialogus de potestate papae et imperatoris (1334–1341), Octo quaestiones de potestate pape (1340–1341), and Breviloquium de principatu tyrannico (1342).
