Abstract

This paper describes a study of the development and use of e-learning tools in the context of a basic logic course that was taught during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2021. The tools were used to compensate for learning and teaching limitations brought about by the lockdown. We compare a course that was taught in February and March 2020 (before the lockdown in Denmark) with a similar course that was taught in 2021 during the lockdown. In terms of exam results, the students from the 2021 course did significantly better than those in the 2020 course. This paper considers possible explanations for this difference. Among other things, we analyse the data collected from the students via a questionnaire.
