Abstract
Extradural spinal meningiomas (ESMs) are very rare. The most common presenting symptom is pain, followed by sensory and motor deficits, depending on the affected segment of the spinal cord. On imaging, the ESMs are similar to the intradural meningiomas, with only calcifications being somewhat more frequent, but they tend to grow more aggressively, show invasive features and produce a relatively rapid progression of neurological symptoms.
