Psychological equipment refers to instruments or devices used in psychological research to present, control, measure, calculate, and examine. There is a wide variety of psychological equipment, ranging from simple tools like mechanical pulleys and tuning forks to highly complex ones like functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) machines. With the development of modern scientific technology, psychological equipment is continually advancing, and its role in psychological research is becoming increasingly prominent. Researchers rely on these instruments to present stimuli and apply experimental manipulations. Additionally, instruments are essential for excluding irrelevant stimuli that could interfere with experimental results. Furthermore, instruments aid researchers in observing, recording, and statistically processing data. Even when using other research methods, instruments serve as valuable auxiliary tools.
