Submarine rescue vehicle (SRV)

Definition

A deep submergence rescue vehicle (DSRV) is a type of deep-submergence vehicle used for rescue of downed submarines and clandestine missions. While DSRV is the term most often used by the United States Navy, other nations prefer to call it submarine rescue vehicle (SRV). SRV is one type of submarine rescue submersible, which can carry submariners from a disable submarine to the surface. The function of submarine rescue vehicle is the same as submarine rescue bell. The typical difference between them is that the rescue bell is a bell shape submarine rescue system, the submarine rescue vehicle is a free move manned submersible. As a special manned occupied submersible, it consists of four major components: manned pressure hull, propellers system, observational system, and rescue system.
