Definition
Meaning of work refers to types or sources attributed as meaning of work, whereas meaningfulness of work refers to amounts of significance produced by mechanisms and processes related to perceptions of meaningfulness of work.
Description
The scientific work on meaningfulness of work has not been consistent and coherent. It is in this context useful to distinguish between meaning of work and meaningfulness of work, a distinction which is mostly overlooked. While meaning of work refers to types or sources attributed as meaning of work, meaningfulness of work refers to amounts of significance produced by mechanisms and processes related to perceptions of meaningfulness of work essential for the individual.
