Morphology and Crystallization of Crystalline/Amorphous Polymer Blends

Definition

Crystallization, phase separation, and glass transition are often individually or interactively encountered in binary crystalline/amorphous polymer blends. Due to the occurrence of crystallization or glass transition, the morphology of the system may be fixed or dynamically depressed so that the system can be trapped in a metastable state. This could lead to a large variety of pattern formations. So we put together this chapter as an overview on the phase transition dynamics and the resulted morphologies under the framework of thermodynamics in crystalline/amorphous polymer blends.
