Memory decoding model is a computational model that maps neural signals to memories (Fig. 1). It can be used to investigate memory encoding and retrieval processes in the brain.
Structure of the hippocampal memory decoding model. Model inputs are spatio-temporal patterns of hippocampal spikes. Model outputs are memory labels related to features and categories of sample images. Neural activity features are extracted with B-spline basis functions. The classifier takes the form of a sparse logistic regression classifier
