Abstract

This work initiates the implementation of a tilt-integral-derivative plus filter controller (TIDF) fine-tuned with a pathfinder algorithm (PFA) for a two-area interconnected power system network (TAIPSN). However, the efficacy of TIDF controller performance is tested with other widely accepted controllers. The considered TAIPSN is investigated subjected to the perturbations in step load (SLP) of 10% in area-1 and further to conduct the most appropriate realistic analysis, the TAIPSN is deliberated with the communication time delays (CTDs). Furthermore, the supplementary control mechanism of the interline power flow controller (IPFC) and superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) is implemented with the TAIPSN to enhance dynamical behavior.
